Sriracha Honey Roasted Chickpeas

Crispy, spicy, and sweet with a tangy lime twist—these oven-roasted chickpeas are a deliciously addictive snack that satisfies PMS and luteal-phase cravings. Rich in plant protein and fiber, they help stabilize blood sugar and support hormonal balance while delivering bold flavor and crunch.

Ingredients

Makes about 2 cups

  • 1 can (400 g / 15 oz) chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained, rinsed, and patted dry

  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil

  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce (adjust to heat preference)

  • 1½ teaspoons raw honey or maple syrup

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lime zest (from 1 lime)

  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

 

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.

  2. After rinsing and drying chickpeas thoroughly, transfer them to a medium bowl.

  3. In a small bowl, whisk together avocado oil, sriracha, honey, lime zest, salt, and pepper until well combined.

  4. Toss chickpeas in the sauce until evenly coated. Spread chickpeas in a single layer on the baking sheet.

  5. Roast for 30–40 minutes, shaking the pan every 10 minutes for even crisping, until chickpeas are golden and crispy.

  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
