Jul 10, 2025Rich, fudgy, and deeply satisfying, these Ladies First Chocolate Burst Brownies are more than a treat—they’re a hormone-supportive love note to yourself. Made with almond flour, healthy fats, antioxidant-rich dark chocolate, and blood-sugar-friendly sweeteners, they’re ideal for that time in your cycle when cravings hit hard (hello, luteal phase). Nourishment and indulgence don’t have to be opposites—these brownies prove it.
Ingredients
(Makes 8–9 brownies)
- ½ cup melted dark chocolate (70–85% cacao)
- ¼ cup coconut oil, melted
- 2 large eggs
- ⅓ cup date sugar (or coconut sugar)
- ½ tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup almond flour
- 2 tbsp arrowroot starch
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder (or unsweetened cocoa powder)
- ¼ tsp baking soda
- Pinch of sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a small square baking dish (8x8) with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, date sugar, and vanilla until smooth and a little frothy.
- Stir in the melted chocolate and coconut oil until fully combined.
- Add almond flour, arrowroot starch, cacao powder, baking soda, and sea salt. Mix until a thick, glossy batter forms.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is just slightly soft—it will continue to set as it cools.
- Cool completely before slicing into squares.
- Optional: Top with flaky salt, melted chocolate drizzle, or a scoop of coconut yogurt if you’re feeling extra.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 4 days (or freeze individually).
- For extra hormone love, fold in chopped walnuts or swirl in tahini before baking.
